Achievo Sponsorship Program

Since april 2000, ibuildings is distributing its projectmanagement suite Achievo according to the Open Source method. By using this method, we have been able to significantly speed up the development cycle, because developers from other companies can contribute to the development, or adapt Achievo to fit to the needs of their company.

To meet the demand of companies that do not have the ability to develop Achievo for their own needs or companies that want more than download a release and wait for updates, ibuildings now offers the Achievo Sponsorship Program. By taking part in the Sponsorship Program, a company can influence the direction of Achievo development, and be guaranteed that Achievo is actively developed. Participating companies can also make use of our support organisation.

To ease administration of the Sponsorship Program (for ibuildings as well as for Achievo users), we work with so-called Sponsor Units. Every Sponsor Unit represents a certain amount of work. Below you can find per activity of the Sponsorship Program what the value of a Sponsor Unit is. You can use Sponsor Units for whatever activity you like. If you don't wish to make use of certain features of the Sponsorship Program, you are free to use your units for other features.
The cost of a Sponsor Unit is EUR 95 (approx. US$ 120) per unit, whereby we request that companies buy a minimum amount of 4 units (EUR 380 / US$ 480). Ofcourse, if you think you need more support, or you have ideas about extensions you would like us to develop, you are free to buy more than 4 units.

To guarantee the continuity of the Achievo Sponsorship Program, we presume a minimum consumption of 4 Sponsor Units per year. For example, if you buy 16 units and don't make use of them for a year, 4 units will be deducted from your account, with 12 units left to use. This however guarantees you that ibuildings will always have the capacity to meet your support needs.

Your Sponsor Units can be used for the following services:

 Installation

If your server is connected to the internet and we can remotely log in to your machine, we can remotely install Achievo for you. For this type of installation we ask 3 Sponsor Units. (Maximum of 4 hours, 1 unit per extra hour)

 Support

We offer several forms of support:

Priority Email Support
With the Achievo Sponsor Program a company can make use of our priority email support. If you have a problem or find a critical bug in Achievo and use the priority system, we will respond to you within 24 hours and help you as soon as possible. One unit is deducted from your account for each 5 priority emails that you send to us.

Remote support
If there is a problem with your Achievo installation, ibuildings can try to solve the problem remotely, if your server is connected to the internet and we are able to login to your machine. This form of support is available for the cost of 1 Sponsor Unit per hour with a minimum of one full unit.

 Development

Sponsor Units can be used to add functionality to Achievo or to adapt existing functionality to the specific needs of your company. If we are able to use the modifications or extensions for the general Achievo distribution, one hour of development time will cost 1 Sponsor Unit. If the modification is specific to your company and therefor not useable by anybody else, one hour of development time will cost 1.5 units.

 Banner-ad on the Achievo website

As a 'thank you' for taking part in the Sponsorship Program, we allow the sponsors to place a banner-ad on the Achievo website (http://www.achievo.org). We can place one banner at a time on the site, so banners are rotated. Your banner is displayed for as long as the ammount of Sponsor Units you have left is greater than zero. The frequency in which your banner is shown is dependent on the number of sponsors and the ammount of units you have left on your account.
This is an extra service of the Sponsorship Program: no units are deducted from your account for this service.
Aside from the banner-ad, your company will always be credited in the source and documentation of the modules that are developed using your units.
