I'd much appreciate SSI support in *any* web application.
As of today, my users must enter 5-6 different intranet
passwords.

I'm using POP3 authentication in Achievo, so at least
the password is the same, but you still have to log-in
both in Achievo and Squirrelmail.

A simple solution would be authenticating users through
HTTP auth.  Apache can then be configured to share the
authentication between different web applications,
perhaps using LDAP or even Kerberos.
