ops I meant o say text file ASII not test below ftp see's two type of files if set to atuo binary and asii text if it up loads them as binary you'll get the errors you've pointed out they must be transfered as asii fir the end extensions I pointed out below .ini & .php. Sorry for the typeO below

One other issue you may have here is your FTP client in which your using to upload the files to the server make sure it treats .inc & .php files as test files if not they will give you the type of errors your seeing here as descript below also.

First make sure you extracted the tar.gz while keeping its directory
structure intact.

If it was, verify that all the files are readable by the webserver user.
