We use features that were not available before PHP 4.1, so PHP 4.1 is a requirement. Which indicates another bug: the setup.php script should've told you this, but I see that it checks for php 4.0.0 instead of 4.1.0. I've filed this as bughttp://www.achievo.org/bug/112
