Hello,
first of all, we wish a happy 2002 to all of you.
Due to the demand in the past few weeks for a new stable version of
Achievo, we have worked hard to stabilize the features that we
introduced in the 0.7 development cycle, in order to come to a new
stable Achievo 0.8 as fast as possible.
Some of the new features that were introduced in Achievo 0.7.3 have been
found too immature and have been disabled in Achievo 0.8. Development
of these features will be continued in Achievo 0.9.
Since there are quite some changes between 0.7.3 and this release, I
don't want to mark it 0.8 right away. First, we'll have to do some more
testing. Therefor, this release is marked 0.8.RC1 (for 'Release Candidate').
We encourage the stronghearted among you to try this new release.
Upgrade instructions to upgrade a database from Achievo 0.6 to Achievo
0.8 are provided in the doc/UPGRADE file. If you don't find too many
bugs in this version, we'll have a stable 0.8 version very soon.
I also would like to invite Achievo translators to take the english.lng
files from this release as a basis to update the language files.
(Languagefiles for languages other than english are not up to date in
this 0.8.RC1 version)

Here is the entry from the CHANGES file, with the changes that have been
done since 0.7.3:
+ Added supervisor to employees.
+ Added a few fields to customer administration (website, projects).
+ Added a few fields to project administration (contactperson, enddate,
fixed price).
+ Added a field to contact person (cellular)
+ Added multiple week check to time registration cron check script.
+ Created new options for extended search feature (and/or capability,
option to choose a searchtype per field).
+ Added tooltip support.
+ Added 'select all', 'select none' and 'invert selection' to profile
editor.
+ Added colored mouseover selection bar to recordlists.
* Fixed a Daylight Savings Time bug in time registration.
* Fixed bug in previous/next day links in time registration.
* Fixed validation of activities that have 'remark required' option
checked.
* Fixed bug in time registration that allowed hours to be booked on a
locked week in some cases.
* Fixed some small other bugs and typos.
- Removed unstable 0.7.* features (costregistration, scheduler, finance
menu).
