I could argue that country data is 'standard' data and shouldn't be in 
someone's database, but my previous argument that each company has their 
own set of countries overrules that argument.

Maybe Achievo should have an import feature that connects to achievo.org 
and downloads a set of data. For example 'import dutch cities', or 
'import asian countries'. Dutch companies could use that feature to 
populate their cities table. There could then be one central repository 
of datasets that you can synchronize with.

I've been thinking about such a system ever since currencies and 
holidays came to discussion.

It would be cool to have one general solution for every type of data 
that could be synchronised (cities, countries, currencies, holidays, etc...)

None of the other open source projectmanagers I know have such a feature.
