Could you try the following: in atkconf.inc, set $config_debug to 2. 
Then, try to save an entry. You should now get a screen with some debug 
information (in non-debugmode, this screen would have been skipped). See 
if there are any sql errors in that debug output. If you can't find the 
problem, mail the debug output of this page to me.
