Achievo 1.1.rc3 release notes - December 12, 2004

These are the release notes for Achievo 1.1.rc3.

This version is a releasecandidate. It is considered stable, but needs user testing before a final version can be released. If you want to help, download this release and test it. Please report any issues you may find in Bugzilla.

The changes in this release are listed below, as well as any issues that you should be aware of when upgrading to this release.

We would like to thank everybody who contributed to this release.

 Disclaimer

Although we deem this release candidate stable (it would not be a release candidate otherwise), Achievo 1.1.RC3 must still be considered a development release. For production environments, you might want to stick with the latest stable version of Achievo (1.0.4). If you want to help us stabilize 1.1 however, please try this new version.

 What's new?

In this version, all known issues from the previous release candidate have been addressed. Also several translations have been updated.

• The contact person field in the project edit screen can be made obligatory with a config setting.
  
• If only one result is found using the searchbox, it is displayed directly.

• Updated Norwegian translation.

 Upgrade Notes

When upgrading from Achievo version 1.0.4 or earlier, a database patch is necessary. The Achievo setup.php script can take care of this. After upgrading the software, go to the setup.php script in your Achievo directory, using your browser. Login as 'Administrator', with the password configured in the config.inc.php file, and follow the instructions on screen. More detailed upgrade instructions can be found in the UPGRADE file in the doc/ directory inside the Achievo tar.gz file
