Achievo 1.1.rc1 release notes - July 13, 2004

These are the release notes for Achievo 1.1.rc1.

This version is a releasecandidate. It is considered stable, but needs user testing before a final version can be released. If you want to help, download this release and test it. Please report any issues you may find in Bugzilla.

The changes in this release are listed below, as well as any issues that you should be aware of when upgrading to this release.

 Disclaimer

Although we deem this release candidate stable (it would not be a release candidate otherwise), Achievo 1.1.RC1 must still be considered a development release. For production environments, you might want to stick with the latest stable version of Achievo (1.0.4).

If you want to help us stabilize 1.1 however, please try this new version.

 What's new?

This release contains many bugfixes, as well as many new features. Many of these features were sponsored by Plan42, LangzaamVerkeer and Prosa, for which we are very thankful.

• Added configurable overtime categories ('workperiods').
  
• Added overtime balance tracking to timereg and weekreport.
  
• Added privilege to register time for other users.
  
• Added the ability to limit time registration to project members only.
  
• Added quick addition (by keyword search) of team members to project.
  
• Added generic subtotalling and aggregation features to time survey.
  
• Added easier date navigation to the time survey.
  
• Added configurable function levels to employee admin.
  
• The employee admin screen now visually indicates employees whose contract is expired (red) or about to expire (orange).
  
• Phases now visually indicate if the number of hours registered exceeds the planning.
  
• Added startdate/enddate to phases.
  
• Estimated time per phase can now be detailed per employee.
  
• Initially planned time for phases is now remembered.
  
• Project screen now displays already booked hours per phase with clickthrough to hoursurvey for details. (bug #224)

 Upgrade notes

When upgrading from a previous version of Achievo, a database patch is necessary. The Achievo setup.php script can take care of this.

After upgrading the software, go to the setup.php script in your Achievo directory, using your browser. Login as 'Administrator', with the password configured in the config.inc.php file, and follow the instructions on screen.
