When filling in hours in the pim, and adding a period with and enddate in the
past  enddate is reset to 'today' in the form upon selecting Project / Phase.
So any period ends 'today' if you're not careful.  I was not careful.

I assume this happens when you use the 'date range' feature to register on
multiple days at once?

This has been fixed in CVS and will be in the next release.
